Aegis Hestia is now recruiting a few great people to join our 10-man progression raid group. This group raids in the evening, from 8:00 pm to 11 pm server, on Tuesday and Wednesday night. Additionally, a farm raid is usually held on Monday nights for alts, emblems, or just fun.

First and foremost, Aegis Hestia is a group of great friends, many of which have been guilded together for 3+ years. In general, we recruit the player, not the character, and the quality of the individual is always the most important consideration in an application. We’re hoping to add two or three quality players to bolster our current roster. Applications from all classes will be considered, but only exceptional candidates from the “closed” classes/specs are likely to be accepted at this time (this does not include non-raiding “friends and family” and other social applications). Raiding Experience

Aegis Hestia is focused primarily on 10-man endgame content, and we are only accepting players with raiding experience at this time. Appropriate gear is required (with few exceptions, all gear should be at least 1 tier behind current, enchanted, and gemmed with epic gems), as is familiarity with current content.

Personality and Outlook

Players must be mature, friendly, flexible, and willing to help out if needed. Our guild is built on teamwork and our guild members need to be team players. There is no need for whining, excessive drama, or personal offense. If there are issues within the guild, they will be resolved in an adult manner; those who cannot operate in this way will be removed from the guild.

This is a game, and we’re here to have fun. Although we are a raiding guild, we strive to be “casual-friendly” and recognize that everyone has commitments outside of the game and differing levels of interest in raiding. There is no attendance requirement for raiding, although preference is given to those who raid more regularly.

Please also note that because several of our members have small children at home, we ask that all members keep to a PG rating when using Ventrilo. We also have little patience with invectives used in guild chat, nor will we tolerate the use of slurs of a racist or sexist nature.

We currently field one 10-man raid group which raids two or three nights a week. These raids run from 8:00 PM to 11:00 PM CST. Invites usually begin fifteen minutes beforehand. Guild members and applicants can sign up via the in-game calendar. Signing up does not guarantee a raid spot, but allows the raid leaders to plan the groups more easily.

Server Reputation

Each player is responsible for maintaining a good reputation with the community at large. There will always be conflicting personalities and people who do not get along with each other, but letting personal issues become a negative reflection on you or the guild is unacceptable.

Probationary Period

You will be invited into the guild as a probationary member. This allows us to get to know you and for you to get to know us. The probationary period will typically last for two weeks’ worth of raids.

Voting on Applicants

At the end of the probationary period, the officers and guild leader vote on an applicant.

  • Acceptance
    If a majority of officers and the guild leader approve, the applicant will be offered full member status. He or she will then be given access to our guild-only forums.
  • Rejection
    If two or more officers vote against an applicant at the end of the probationary period, he or she is immediately given the bad news and removed from the guild.
  • Standby
    Occasionally, an applicant is turned away because the officers feel that he or she needs to improve their raiding skills. An officer will inform the applicant that her application is being temporarily closed. The applicant can let an officer know if at any point she would like to have her application reopened.

Note: If you have a specific issue with a member, officer, or a decision made by an officer, please contact Gaijuu or another officer directly via a whisper. We will resolve the matter as quickly as possible and in the best interest of everyone involved.
